Reasonable Smokers

Reasonable smokers are the worst kind.
First of all, they need a smoke
in the morning
which is disgusting
and totally uncalled for.
And then they smoke cigarettes
throughout the day, every second hour.
They need something to keep them going,
to motivate them
if their shitty, banal job can't,
which is just sad.
These kind of people never smoke a whole pack
in one night, sitting in a pub or with friends
they usually don't drink at all
they drink coffee, though
again: to keep them going.
They treat smoking
as their guardian angel,
as their aid to the horrendous and cruel world
full of work and adult stuff -
which is worse than lung cancer.
Smoking is a disaster and should be
treated that way.
You're smoking because you don't want to keep going.
It's a suicidal act.
Don't make it look
reasonable, please.
