Have you ever had the experience of mistaking a complete stranger for somebody you knew? What made you think that it’s him, up to the moment he came close and you realized you were wrong? Every person has its visual features – colour, shape, size. From a distance you can only see the surface. This is the prime method of deception. Crooks know how most people would only look superficially, and they won’t hesitate to take advantage of that.
Is the fraud more awake than the deceived? It would be easy to say yes. First of all, we need to consider their motivation. The urge to deceive doesn’t typically come from a clear mind. Although we know the archetype of the Trickster, who challenges the unenlightened by conning them into all sorts of situations that are helping them move forward spiritually. It may contact you in your dreams, in psychedelic trips, or even come to you in real life and open a portal of another universe for you to look into. Are phishers in any way similar to these guides?
When there’s no money where you are, you just don’t understand why you are there at all. People need purpose more than anything. Making money seems to be the only generally accepted, valid reason. If you do charity, you are either a hypocrite or an absolute loser. Doing and giving things for free is always suspicious.
When you go to the internet, you instantly enter a sort of dream state. There’s an overwhelming stream of sensations, images, sounds and information flashing before your eyes, and you feel you’re connected to some being with which you can communicate no strings attached, without responsibility, without having to show yourself physically. This is the magic of the whole thing; people do and say things in this dreamy, anonym situation which they wouldn’t in real life. Every situation that has dreamy qualities, in which people don’t need to be conscious of themselves is highly significant in case of business and marketing. We all know that dreams are not meant to be a place where you are responsible for your actions.
Just like in dreams, they frequently act on their instincts. And, most important of all, they believe they are safe, whereas in fact they are not hiding in the deep, shadowy swamp of the subconscious,
but are out in the open, completely vulnerable to those who are trained to take any chance to trick them.
So, what do you think happens to your password after you typed it into that little box? That’s right. Those little stars showing privacy are only illusion. They’ve got it. Of course, they don’t use this against you as long as you are not a significant factor, but you may never know at what point in time you might become one.
The best phishers are not the ones who are in it for the money. Real professionals are in on it because of the excitement of the game.
Phishers must create and maintain an illusory world. So, how do they do it? How do you build up a fantasy? You don’t create a structure first and apply the content to it. Initially, there’s a bunch of thoughts and emotions lying around, with little or no connections. You take them, play with them, evolve them, and after some time they naturally grow together. You need to treat these parallel words as living organisms, with love and due respect. Because they are, and one day they may become your reality.
